Cathy Reich

Administrative Assistant

Cathy joined the Healthy Ministry Resources staff in November 2007. As Administrative Assistant, she works primarily for Bishop Ron Ramsey, Pat Jones, and Steve Dennie.

Cathy grew up in Bryan, Ohio, in the Brethren Church. She graduated from Huntington University in 1976 with a degree in Christian Education and Music. She and Jon (J. R.), who also graduated from HU that year, were married a week after graduation.

The Reichs have lived in Huntington ever since, where they are very active in Good Shepherd UB church. For ten years before coming to the United Brethren offices, Cathy was Good Shepherd's Director of Children's Ministries.

This is actually Cathy's second stint at the UB Offices. In 1975, while still in college, she began working in the United Brethren printshop as a typesetter. She continued in that role until the printshop was closed in 1982, at which point she became executive secretary to Paul Hirschy, then the Director of Church Services. She served in that role until 1984, when the first of her three children arrived.

The oldest, Matt, is married and lives in Fishers, Ind. He has provide both a grandson and granddaughter for Cathy and J. R. Emily is a junior in high school, and Stephen is a freshman.

The Reichs like to go camping as a family, and they have also done some mission trips as a family, to Jamaica and Honduras.
